What is Vivaldi-helper?

What is Vivaldi Helper that keeps wanting to connect with Vivaldi? Why is it necessary? Why do a lot of other connections try to be made when I launch Vivaldi? Why Google Analytics? I do not trust Google, and have blocked its analytics completely with uBlock Origin.

Disabling that is not doable with the advice given in the page about Google Chrome Helper, since the interface listed there does not exist in either version of settings for Vivaldi. I blocked it with Little Snitch. -
