Bug: Dead crow on window close
-
Sometimes when I close the browser I see a page with a dead crow image for a short time. I'm not sure, but it could be seen when both of the following conditions are met:
- You are currently on a "Start page"
- The computer is under a hard load, that is the closing is slow enough
(I have it on Windows 7).
As I understand the dead crow is used for hanged pages and therefore it should not be shown in the described case.
And by the way the idea to use a dead bird image is somewhat completely stupid and disgusting.
And the image itself (white on black, quite realistic) doesn't match with friendly, abstract, and bright Vivaldi design.

@myVivaldiUsername This is a purely visual bug that happens when closing pages that interact with "beforeunload" in javascript.
It's not actually a crash, so nothing to be concerned about.
The team is aware of the issue.

@myVivaldiUsername The dead bird is, I believe, inherited from Chromium, and the topic has been discussed before (no doubt elsewhere too).

Chrome/Chromium use another image:
The "dead tab" doesn't produce negative emotions because tabs aren't live beings. And if we talk about birds, the bird could have more cartoon appearance, like Twitter logo. Again, it will eliminate or at least reduce the negative emotions/associations.
