BetterTwitchTV - does it not really work in Vivaldi due to security features?
-
I installed Tampermonkey (IIRC, I selected the Vivaldi specific installation) and let it install BetterTwitchTV. Viewing a Twitch stream, the Tampermonkey icon shows that one script is executed (BetterTTV). Still, I do not see some advanced features. I realized that when I wondered why people keep writing "monkaS", or rather, why I see that as text and not as emoji. Also some people talked about emojis wearing Christmas hats, which I don't see either.
Does Vivaldi block access of extensions to text display areas, in contrast to an original Chrome browser?
A similar issue occurs with the "Emoji Keyboard": I can see that the selected emoji is inserted briefly into the input line of the Twitch chat but disappears after a little moment. I have to manually re-insert it (Ctrl+V).

@LigH Vivaldi should behave in the same way as chrome for most extensions. It might be worth raising an issue with the developers of betterttv, as they will be more familiar with why it might not work.
