LinkedIn video error

Hey guys,
I noticed an interesting issue when using LinkedIn with Vivaldi lately. Maybe some of you have seen it before?
My specs: Vivaldi for MacOS - v 2.9.1705.41 (latest on Dec 14th, 2019)When playing videos in LinkedIn - in the feed directly and also when viewing the post - after a few seconds the following error message appears:
I have tried deactivating all of my adblockers, HTTPS Everywhere and so on and also tried to change the settings for linkedin.com, but nothing solved it...
Any ideas??Thank you!!
Cheers,
Wolfgang -
@smartwolfgang Hi, and welcome to the Vivaldi Community! Could you please file a bug report for this issue and include a link to the problematic video on LinkedIn? There's a known issue with videos not playing properly on some sites and (as far as I know) it only affects Macs running macOS 10.15 Catalina.
Thanks!

@smartwolfgang Yes, your bug was Confirmed internally, then it got resolved as a duplicate of VB-58686, which is assigned to a developer and currently being worked on. I don't have an ETA for a fix but you should get notified when the fix becomes available in a Stable channel release.

@Gwen-Dragon awesome, thank you!!

Hey guys,
great work, bug seems to be resolved now in the last stable version 2.11.1811.33!
All videos play instantly in the LinkedIn feed and also the new pop-up-feature works without any problems.
Thank you!! -
Hello,
Unfortunately, I still face this issue on LinkedIn videos all the time -- including LinkedIn Learning content where videos don’t play. I've to switch to Safari or another browser for these videos. Note that I don’t have ad blockers, and the Vivaldi Tracking Protection Level for LinkedIn is switched to "No Blocking."Look forward to your help and resolution. Thanks.

@mkpingale Thanks for the report. There is definitely a problem with H.264/AVC media playback on macOS Catalina, and the issue is also being discussed in this thread as well: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/46123/video-performance-issues
The Vivaldi team knows that it is a serious pain point for Mac users and I also know that the devs are actively working on a fix with a renewed focus. Unfortunately, I don't know how close they are to releasing a fix.
