Search suggestion with %s adds nickname to search query
-
I am trying to use amazon search suggestion and I am using the following suggestion URL:
https://completion.amazon.com/search/complete?search-alias=aps&client=amazon-search-ui&mkt=1&q=%s
with Nickname "a"When I am running the search on Amazon with e.g. "a car" the suggestion includes the nickname "a" in the results. The expectation is that only query is used not the nickname in search.

Have you tried to select one of the items? The nickname is used only in the list, but not in the search itself (that might be because Vivaldi lists the content that should be entered as address/search; I don't know).
If you think it's a bug, please read how to report a bug and then report it to the bugtracker (menu → help → report a bug).
It was already discussed here, but there's nothing about it being reported.

You think not?
The link to the discussion does not help.
I created a bug report...

@acidham Ah, sorry; if you think it's a bug worth reporting (that's something from my world, in fact all bugs should be worth reporting). But I don't know, it may be intended and not a bug (though we wouldn't say this).
I expected that; it was more like a pointer for people who would want to search for similar topics, that they don't have to.
Please post its ID (
VB-xxxxx
) so we know what we should watch. -
The nickname (or keyword) is used if you want to search from the address bar. You start with the keyword and then add the search terms.

@Streptococcus We all know. The problem is that if you use the nickname, it appears before every suggestion in the dropdown and we don't want this.
