Command-Line Option for SafeMode?
-
Does Vivaldi offer a command-line switch that starts in so-called
--safe-mode
ala Firefox?--safe-mode Disables extensions and themes for this session.
My objective is to easily start an instance of Vivaldi with extensions and themes disabled.
I've tried searching both the forum and the web and come up empty. What I've so far found is a VERY LONG list of Chromium command line switches. None of which appear to be the equivalent of safe mode.

@RBV Chrome themes are not supported in vivaldi; for disabling all extensions at the launch just add
--disable-extensions

When I use this command like and go see my extensions it's all blank, I can't see any installed extension. I have a good idea what is the extension that's causing the problem and I want to uninstall it, but how if I can't see it?

Yes it does. I see you're using KDE5 and by the way, it's the Plasma Integration extension. I went to .config/vivaldi-snapshot/Default/Extensions/ and moved the folder I identify as the extension and didn't worked. One of the reasons I use Vivaldi is not have to install extensions, I just use h264ify and had enable Plasma Integration to test some things (because I tried KDE Connect extension and it wasn't finding my phone).
So, that's it.
It's preferable to me to have h264ify enable, but above all this is something that now I want to learn how to do. I have no ideal how I can do this on Linux, disabling a rogue extension. -

I don´t know a direct way to remove extensions but a workaround:
If you have another device or dual boot Windows system you can disable the extension there, extensions are synced.
Assuming you use sync.Cheers, mib

This is the probable solution.
I had tried on my phone and forgotten the desktop. I removed the extension there, hope it'll synchronize eventually and fix the problem next time I check.
Thanks. -

Thanks.I think it's solved now.
First try Vivaldi still froze. I searched and killed the Plasma Browser Integration host and tried again. Maybe this help, it didn't froze and as fast as I could I went to the extensions tab and uninstalled (synchronization hadn't removed).
Seems to be working now but to be sure I also removed from the system the Browser Integration host.
