Bookmark editor freeze (any updates?)
-
First, I am familiar with the Snapshot here and that is what I am presently running: [https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/39780/fix-for-bookmark-editor-freeze-vivaldi-browser-snapshot-1650-3]
Has this fix been integrated into the latest build? It was just 2 weeks ago that I found the snapshot that resolved the matter. I was up-to-date at that time. The snapshot did resolve the issue. Here are my system details:
Windows 10, 64-bit, Version 1903 OS Build 18362.418, and, at the moment, Your current browser is Vivaldi 2.9.1705.30 as reported by User Agent string:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/78.0.3904.72 Safari/537.36 Vivaldi/2.9.1705.30I am also familiar with the list of incompatible extensions, and I do not run any. (https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/8129/list-of-incompatible-extensions/2?page=1)
I hesitate to download the current version unless I know that the fix was implemented since mid-October. Can anyone advise?
Thank you.

Is there a better way to contact the Vivaldi developers? The thread concerning the snapshot is closed / locked, so I cannot reply there.

@pmarion The best way to confirm is to download and install the latest Stable version. You can install both versions independently:
- I install the Stable version with a regular installation
- I install the Snapshot as a standalone version, and that is my default browser with all of my bookmarks, etc.
1650.3 is an older Snapshot than the latest Stable and Snapshot, so one can assume that it is fixed. Do not install Stable builds over Snapshots or vice versa. Keep them separate.

@Pesala Thank you for replying. I believe II did install the snapshot over the previous version, or perhaps I did an uninstall first.
Now I guess I'll have to export my bookmarks and start from scratch.

@pmarion You can import bookmarks from another installation of Vivaldi into your default version.
-
@Pesala -I enabled synch on another pc and this one - so I'll be good to go.
It just seems strange that I was experiencing this issue with the latest build as of last month. Perhaps the clean install will resolve it.
Thanks again for you assistance.
