cannot play videos in fedora 31 (could in 30) (solved)
upgraded yestrday from fedora 30 to 31 and i can't see some videos anymore, from twitch for example, which shows a 4000 error, yes codecs are correctly installed and everything was working fine under fedora 30
this is the error message i get when opening from terminal (well multiples of this message)
ERROR: ld.so: object '/var/opt/vivaldi-snapshot/media-codecs-77.0.3865.90/libffmpeg.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (file too short): ignored.
edit : just solved it, just needed to update ffmpeg
sudo /opt/vivaldi/update-ffmpegto update the ffmpeg for your Vivaldi Stable.
sudo /opt/vivaldi/update-widevineto update widevine lib for DRM protected content.
Vivaldi Snapshot? Hmmm. Is the folder a symlink to another codecs folder?
I would remove this folder.
Sorry, my fault. Now i see it is created with new libffmpeg update.
just needed to update ffmpeg
