Will you make it possible for SpeechTexter
to work in Vivaldi ?“network error”
“The internet connection is poor. Please try again later”.
“Connection is secure”Why is there a “network error” ?
If Java is the problem One should navigate to: Content settings… \ JavaScript \ Manage exceptions...” “chrome://settings/search#javascript” according to support instructions - I can't even get in there.The same things that's been allowed in Chrome has been allowed in Vivaldi.
Cookies, Microphone [vivaldi://settings/content/microphone], Notifications, JavaScript, Flash, Images, Pop-ups and redirects, Background sync, Sound. Something else I forgot ? but the only requirement in Chrome seems to be that “microphone” should be allowed.
The latest Adobe Flash Player is installed. YouTube work. 2 Tampermonkey's are installed.Tried with disabling all the Add-ons. Closed all the tabs, restarted; and of course it is with the hope that it should work with the extensions.
Tried setting the headphones' microphone as the default recording device, whether I use that or the laptops microphone it won't work; but beside this site, there are also other sites not listed here (Tv4ever etc; “chrome APIs ... are not supported in Vivaldi.” don't know what an API is) that won't work, so why does it in Chrome ?
I've of course written to SpeechTexter who won't respond so it must be a Vivaldi issue. Is there a special problem with S.T. when it comes to the Vivaldi policy ?I'm at Windows 10
I very much appreciate the tab close button may be
taken away (the reason why I'm migrating from Chrome).I prefer using only one Browser at a time.

@Vaganza Have you tried switching your user agent? If it's just vivaldi it doesn't work with that may be the cause.
You could try to use a user agent switcher extension (help page link).

@LonM
Thank You.Actually, I've seen that there are several other browsers in which it doesn't work, but as I wrote "...the tab close button may be taken away" in Vivaldi and because of the high usage of CPU and memory from the use of several browsers, I need to find one where it all works.
Followed the instructions to the letter from “use a user agent switcher extension (help page link)”.
Have tried the different alternatives in "User Agent Switcher and Manager". Tried using User agent - CmyIP.com to find Chrome's current User Agent and put in the entire string, then just “Chrome/77.0.3865.90”, to no avail.
Can't see why other User Agent Switchers would make a better job, so I've put up a bug report.

Have you tried the Speech to Text and Commands that incorporates Windows itself in Accessibility? (Speech recognition)

@Catweazle
"Windows Speech recognition" ? Oh yes, I've struggled a lot with it. S.T. is soo incredibly much better. It's not perfect though, you need to read in a-little-robot-like-with-spaces-in-between-the-words fashion.modedit removed broken link
I didn't know if it was correct to give out the bug reports true number, so I put up:
issuekey=VB-XXXXX.
