Returning from holidays – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1628.7
-
Regression from 1609.4: Changing the UI language in settings does not work anymore (changes are saved but Vivaldi always starts in the Windows system locale).
-
@Thot where to download the previous snap?
-
-
@mattsolo45: same here
-
@hlehyaric thank you very much
-
After updating to snapshot 1628.7, Vivaldi caused crash (white screen, no menu,etc).
Please check and release the revived version! -
-
@solidrock: Same here. Windows 10 user and it only displays the Vivaldi logo. No menu or anything.
-
Can we get a hotfix for the blank Vivaldi screen that users are faced with please? Deleting our settings is not an acceptable solution to this problem.
-
@Operanix You're welcome.
-
Well, I reinstalled it. Everything was fine until the "calendar" appeared in the sidebar.
I can start over. -
Same issue here. Blank window with V. I uninstalled the latest snapshot and installed the last stable version 2.6.1566.49 .

Yes! "Calendar" is incorrect in the sidebar.
Uninstall and then reinstall. So far so good. Sidebar "Calendar" checkbox. Result, blank window with letter "V". -

Now that most of the team has returned from vacation, we are back to fixing bugs and adding features.

Speaking of adding features, can we at last get an entry in the keyboard shortcuts and in mouse gestures concerning "Close tab stack?" I'm asking this here 'cause I know you are all still mesmerized and confused from vacations so that I can spare myself the flak

on Xubuntu 18.04.3 64bit i have same blank only with V logo in center...
because i not need remove all profile, then investigate that problem is only with one file, log in "Default/Local App Settings/somegenerateddirname/000003.log", after remove it (in GNU/Linux):rm ~/.config/vivaldi-snapshot/Default/Local\ App\ Settings/*/*.log
Vivaldi start as "normal", only i see little(NOT all) my config missing:
- is set default theme (and remove custom themes)
- is disabled "open settings as tab"
- is set default search provider (and removed customs)
- (not sure) removed custom hotkey
-
@k3dar: Don't do that. That file contains a lot more than one or two settings
-
Well, it works. Only "Calendar" is not checked in the sidebar.
-
In my case it was enough to restart the computer, but on a laptop also from Windows it did not help, but the update to Windows 10 Insider Preview 10.0.18362.1 (19H1_RELEASE) amd64 2019-03 it fixed it so I don't know what's going on.

Good thing I was not checking and have not installed this then. I was lucky.
