Hide thy browser content when not alone?
-
Not sure how useful this mod is, but someone requested an automate global blur filter (for browsing "stuff" in the public? ). So I made this just for fun, filter effect delay is 3 seconds, you can change it by tweaking the
3s
at the end.
Hide all browser content when browser not active:#browser.isblurred:not(.is-settingspage) {opacity:0 !important; transition: opacity .5s steps(15) 3s !important;}
Hide all except titlebar when browser not active:#browser.isblurred:not(.is-settingspage) #main {filter: contrast(0) !important; transition: filter .5s steps(15) 3s !important;}
Hide only website content when browser not active:#browser.isblurred:not(.is-settingspage) #webpage-stack {filter: contrast(0) !important; transition: filter .5s steps(15) 3s !important;}
Blurred only website content when browser not active:#browser.isblurred:not(.is-settingspage) #webpage-stack {filter: blur(20px) grayscale(1) !important; transition: filter .5s steps(15) 3s !important;}
Blurred website content when tab/website not active:#browser:not(.is-settingspage) #webpage-stack:not(:hover) {filter: blur(20px) grayscale(1) !important; transition: filter .5s steps(15) 3s !important;}
Please tell me how useful this mod is, if u find it useful that is...
That's all. Have fun!EDIT: Optimized codes, 2019 sep 1.

@dude99 I like the hybrid of #1 and #4 ^^,
html:not(:hover) #browser:not(.is-settingspage) {filter: blur(5px) !important; transition: filter .5s steps(15) 3s !important;}
-
@Hadden89 Hmm... 5px is only good for hiding text, it's not blurry enough to hide pictures. R u doing it just to feel cool? LOL
-
@dude99 Nothing to hide
Ok, just the unique user - and observer - of my Vivaldi profile.
For hiding purposes, something like20px
is better -
Automate content concealment can be a practical function, especially if it can be protected with a password, for example if you work with confidential documents.
A simple form already exists as a function in Vivaldi. -
hello, is it possible to have this enabled and only disable being used when a video is playing fullscreen?
edit. i figured out the fullscreen video issue, however i notice that my panel bar on the right will have the background fade and blur out as well. is that intentional? im using the 4th blurred option and have my panel set as floating
-
@highrup Not intentional, but AFAIK that's how CSS blur effect works. It take all pixels within & around the target element, & mix 'em all together by specific range - regardless of layers or individual elements. Basically it flatten everything into a 2D picture & then apply blur to that picture.
