I want to prevent websites highjacking/stealing Vivaldi keyboard commands so I can rely on shortcuts

I may find that I lack half of @ldexterldesign's patience!
After many years as a boring vanilla Chrome "power user", I decided to give Vivaldi a hard go for several weeks, but this issue is a potential deal-breaker for me.
I've gone as far as creating doubles of basic shortcuts (e.g. CTRL-J to mimic CTRL-TAB) but there are still some sites such as Photopea that swallow every shortcut I can think of (CTRL-W, CTRL-1, CTRL-E, etc.), leaving me completely stuck on the page without killing the browser from the terminal or using the mouse to click
File
→Close Tab
. Of course, that's a bit of a first-world problem, but given that much of Vivaldi's value-add comes from the leverage it provides to "power users", it probably drives many of us who heavily rely on the keyboard crazy!Regardless of whether or not I'm able to work through this issue, thank you for your work on this browser! It's a great piece of software and I've really enjoyed getting familiar with it.

@adamdavislee It’s buried in this topic, but I posted a link to a userscript I wrote to address these issues. I’ve been using it all this time ☛ https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/459981
