BUG: (some) Trello cards show blank (see prntscr)
-
Lately (don't remember when it started - sometime about a month ago) some Trello cards stopped showing. I believe this to be critical since many people (including me) use Trello for work (!).
TLDR: Trello works fine. Then I open a card and sometimes whole top section (description, buttons attachments and rest of the "head" and many times even several last posts) are just white without content.
Key of bug report: VB-52699 (I've linked this forum post for detail description and pictures in the bug description)
Details:
ALL RELATED PICTURES ARE IN THIS FOLDER
It goes like this:
- the card opens. It seems fine for about a second (pic 1)
- Then, the whole top of the card vanishes (pic 2)
- if I zoom out, it loads again (pic 3) (if I zoom back, after some level of zoom it vanishes again)
- when I get down on default (broken) zoom level and I scroll down, part (and only part) of the card renders (pic 4)
I failed to find what differentiates cards with this issue from cards which work fine. But the pattern is stable (meaning cards which does have this problem always have this problem - cards which don't don't)
I think (!) that all cards with this issue do have attachments. I do not know for sure (there might have been a card with this without an attachment before I don't recall) nor I know if it is relevant (we have lots of cards with attachments, so it might be just a coincidence). Also all such cards did have discussions, but again - practically all of our cards do have discussion.
I'm willing to help by experimenting with it on demand, but please tell me what you need me to try (I believe I'm a very competent user, but I'm not a programmer / coder)
This might (or might not) be related to another problem which I've reported before through bug dialogue and that is that Vivaldi doesn't show emojis in discussion.
bug key is: VB-41623
related pictures are in the above linked folder as well.

based on further testing:
May 5th 2019 - Cleaning the profile (as suggested by TbGbe below):
- didn't help with the main problem (blank cards)
- did help with emojis - therefor problems are probably not related
-
@sirien-neiris Another user recently reported issue with Trello.
Maybe you can "join forces" as I don't think he raised a bug.
https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/36877/2-issues-in-trelloIt may help if you list your Vivaldi/OS version and whether any extensions are used.
Did you test with a fresh/default profile?
See https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/10388/refreshing-or-cleaning-your-profile For a good guide (written by @Ayespy ) -
@TbGbe Thanks. I followed the instructions for profile cleaning:
- the minor problem (emojis) was in deed solved;
- the major problem (blank cards) was not solved
I found the other thread you've linked before, but it seemed to be a different issue than this one - but I will post there, just for the reference if nothing else.

@sirien-neiris I may have mis-read your first post.
bug key is: VB-41623
Was this bug about the Trello problem or the emojis (not related)?
If not, you should create a Trello bug.
Probably not many Trello users on these forums who could offer advice/help. -
@TbGbe I reported both issues. (The problem with emojis was also on Trello.)
Blank cards: VB-52699
Emojis: VB-41623 -
Hi @TbGbe ,
Where can I go to raise the bug? From my point of view the issue I described is easily reproducible.
Thanks.

@TbGbe I opened the 2 bug reports for the issues I had described (VB-53161 and VB-53446). Is the bug tracker publicly available, is it possible for me to check the status of my issues somewhere?
Thanks for the tips.

@nazarsemenov https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/27450/what-is-the-status-of-vb-already-reported-bug-issue/460
it's a pinned post in https://forum.vivaldi.net/category/36/all-platforms so it's easy to get there, post your request and wait for someone to check the status for your bug -
