NordVPN extension not storing login

Every time I start Vivaldi the NordVPN extension will ask for login when I'm trying to connect. It doesn't remember the login at all between sessions.

Additionally it will ask again, if I also try to open a private window with the connection active. It shows up as a separate login window for proxy; "The proxy htps://it55.nordvpn.com:90 requires a user name and password". The extension will not show status correctly in the private window nor will it indicate that it's logged in either, even when it is. Basically the extension is properly broken.

Note that the behavior in private window is the same as in Chrome, but Chrome will at least remember login in a normal window. Yes, I have changed settings to allow in private window. I have also reinstalled the extension.
