No real Fullscreen on Youtube
-
I have this problem for a couple of weeks now.
When I watch a video on Youtube in Fullscreen, there still is the Scrollbar visible on the right side of my screen and I can scroll down into the comment section while in Fullscreen mode. This is pretty annoying, because a part of the screen is missing.
It only happens with the Vivaldi browser, the Edge browser for example works fine.I already looked into the settings and here in the forum but haven't found anything about this problem.

It's a new feature from YouTube. It works like that in other browsers too.

Do you use any extensions with custom styles for YouTube, "extra" features or some custom CSS? I use one and I have custom themed scrollbars (dark) and I can see the scrollbar in full-screen videos on YouTube too. I haven't found a workaround for that yet. The only solution that works in my case is to disable that extension.

I totally forgot that I use Stylus with a dark theme for YT (better for my eyes) and got so used to it that I haven't considered it as a possible troublemaker.
If I disable the theme, the scrollbar disappears. Thank you very much.If you or someone else figures out a workaround (besides turning the theme off), it would be very nice to share it with me/us.

You can workaround this (kind of) by watching "embedded" videos in full screen. Like eg. https://www.youtube.com/embed/feGKcVUjj0s instead of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feGKcVUjj0s

Why don't you use the built-in dark theme on YouTube?
It's pretty good and it's an official style, so it should always be up-to-date. My case is different - I use custom scrollbars on all websites and it causes this issue on YouTube. So far I've given up on trying to fix that - maybe when I'll have more spare time, one day...
