I Can't Find The Imported Safari Bookmarks
-
Hi, I just joined the Vivaldi community and after downloading the browser I imported my Safari bookmarks. The only problem is I cannot find them. I clicked Bookmarks on the sidebar and don't see the Safari bookmarks. Where can I find them? Also, will they still be in the Folders that they were in when I imported them, such as Jobs, Medical, Message Boards, etc?
thanks! -
@dga10474 Hi. Welcome to the Vivaldi Community!
When Vivaldi imports bookmarks from Safari, it first creates a folder named "Imported From Safari" and then replicates the entire bookmark tree.
If the direct import from Safari didn't work, for whatever reason, you can also export all of your Safari bookmarks to an HTML file (using "File / Export Bookmarks...") and then import from that file using Vivaldi's Bookmark Manager. (Select "Bookmarks / Manage Bookmarks" on the macOS menu bar, click the "Import..." button, select From "Bookmarks HTML File", then click the "Choose a File..." button. You'll find the imported bookmarks in a folder named "Imported".)

@xyzzy Thank you! Importing directly didn't work but exporting Safari and then importing the html file worked perfectly!
