Vivaldi UI is slow over time
-
Dear Vivaldi community, I'm experiencing the very same issue. No single part of my system seems to be the bottleneck. I still have several Gb of memory free, the hard drive is barely accessed, the CPU is close to idling. Basically after changing tab I have to wait for a couple of seconds before I can interact with it. Closing tabs takes several seconds per tab and It's painful. I'm running Windows 10 20H2 with the latest updates. Interestingly my intel mac laptop with Catalina does not show this strange behaviour even though I use it in a very similar way.
I will now try and see if, as others suggested, closing outlook online does improve performance. However even if it does, this is by no means an acceptable workaround as I have 4 tabs with email accounts including outlook always pinned and I need to access them several times a day.
Both vertical tabs and snappiness are deal breaking features for me so for now I'll be forced to have a different browser open with just email accounts to compensate for this bug. Hopefully this will be fixed in the future.
Don't get me wrong, I like Vivaldi ... but if a webpage like outlook has shitty scripts it shall slow down just itself rather than every single action I want to perform on other tabs. -
