Vivaldi Tops the List in HTML5 Test
-
535 out of 555 Points, is better than any other browser.
How does it do that if it's using the Chromium engine?
-
@Pesala I'm jealous. I only scored 530 (both with Stable and with Snapshot).
-
@Ornorm Maybe down to the Operating System? I get only 527 with the latest 2.2 Stable build, 528 with Opera 57, and only 504 with the latest Firefox. None of this is likely to matter much in the real world, but it is good to see Vivaldi improving in HTML5 support.
Specs: AMD A10-6800K, 8 Gb on Win 10 64-bit 1809 build 17763.253 • Snapshot 2.3.1420.4 (64-bit)

@Pesala It's Blink (chromium engine) scoring, therefore the Chrome browser on the same version would score the same I assume? And Opera should be the same too, but only if you test it on same chromium version. The provided list shows chrome at version 66, while latest chrome stable is 71. – Vivaldi snapshot is at 72.

528 here, Kubuntu, Vivaldi last stable
I think the result depends partly on the OS and the sys specs -
