Media problems: Auto-pausing streams
-
Hello,
I have this annoying issue since a few months, where different kinds of problems occur while watching twitch or youtube videos/streams that does not happen on other browsers (tested FF). Note that i tested this throughly with extensions enabled/disabled as well as ublock-origin enabled/disabled and the extension state does not seem to affect this. Same for hardware acceleration settings, on/off does not seem to have any affect.- Youtube videos will randomly stop playing and buffer forever, I have to reload and skip to where i left off or change the quality around.
- Youtube videos will randomly not have any sound. This is persistent for the same videos. So for example out of a selection of 4 unrelated videos, one will not play any audio at all, even after reload/reopen/reboot but the other 3 work fine.
- Same for twitch streams, sometimes certain streams are permanently muted
- Twitch streams will very often just pause and mute themselves so I have to click play and unmute the stream which gets annoying very fast.
I waited a long time to post this because I hoped it might get addressed in an update eventually, but since I watch a ton of streams over the holidays it gets unbearingly annoying.
thanks

@radon There are a lot of previous threads about about Twitch.tv.
If, as I suspect, it is a site problem that does not detect Vivaldi as it should, the only real solution is for Twitch to get their act together and fix it.
As for YouTube, I don't see too many problems with losing audio, but I reported a few bugs with YouTube.
