Google Maps Sticks

Often, when I use Google Maps in Vivaldi (and I have the latest version, but I just started using Vivaldi a few weeks ago), I click on the map in street view and I drag to change the viewing direction. When done, I release the mouse button, yet the browser continues to be locked in and I have to click on the screen to release it, which can often then zoom into a section of the screen that I don't want to zoom in on. Halp!!

@jayhawksean Thanks for the report, and welcome to the Vivaldi Community! I "drove around" Google Maps for a while in Street View mode bug couldn't replicate this problem myself. Perhaps we're using the site differently. I'm also trying to think of what could be causing this. When you perform the click-and-drag, do you release the mouse button when the pointer is outside of the web page (viewport) area? There's currently an open bug where mousemove and mouseup events are not firing when the pointer is outside of the page area, and I'm wondering if your problem is related to this or if it's a totally separate issue. Thanks!

I just tried to replicate it and I am unable to do so. But I fiddled for a few more minutes and it finally happened. I am using a fairly new Logitech MX Master 2S wireless mouse and it's charged. I click the left mouse button and the cursor turns to a plus symbol and I can turn the direction I am viewing in Street View. When I release the mouse button, the cursor is supposed to turn back into a cursor. Every now and then, the cursor remains a plus symbol and remains locked into moving the view as I move the mouse even though I have released the mouse button. And, I am never leaving the screen. I guess if it works far more often than not then I can live with it. The other day, it seemed to be sticking about 90% of the time, but since it's not happening now then I am satisfied that perhaps it was just an anomaly. Hmmm.

The buggy behavior (I believe) you describe does always happen: Drag the Street View, move the mouse cursor outside the Map, and release the drag button. But the drag isn't released: When the mouse cursor goes back in the Map area, the map is dragged even though the drag button isn't pressed down.
But this problem is benign because you can just click on the Map and the drag is released.
I have a much severer problem. This may be what @jayhawksean is describing.
In my case, the Map keeps being dragged whatever you do. You move the mouse cursor without pressing down any buttons and the Map follows the movement of the cursor. Clicking or double-clicking on the Map doesn't help.
Sometimes, this problem eventually goes away. Sometimes, I have to close the tab. I have no idea what triggers it.
