Flash and Photobox
-
I seem to be unable to get Flash to work for Photobox and I think I've now worked out the why, but not how to fix it.
Unfortunately Photobox requires flash in order to make creations. I've been round and round a number of times installing and enabling flash without success. By default I get logged into photobox.co.uk, but when you go to view or edit a creation it switches to studio.photobox.com. If it finds Flash isn't enabled it takes you straight back to the .co.uk site. So I've installed the latest version and checked that it works and I clicked on site settings and said switched to 'allow'. But the site setting, of course, is for the .co.uk site. How can I allow Flash on the .com site when Photobox immediately switches me back to the UK localised site? -
Although you can activate flash in Vivaldi, the problems with this format will multiply also with other browsers, smartphone has not supported flash for a long time, since the flash format will disappear. It is therefore the turn for these web services to change the format to Html5 or WebGL or they are condemned to disappear.
What I recommend is to look for an alternative, since service such as Photobox abound on the web -
@catweazle I agree that it's time for Photobox to abandon Flash. However, in terms of results they are still the best so that doesn't really solve my problem.

@tvjohn Use Firefox. It asks you to run Flash, and then to remember your preference for that website.

@tvjohn
As far as I know there is no possibility for chrome / chromium based browsers anymore since version 69 to store a list of websites where flash is allowed or blocked.
So as there is no way to type in the com address from photobox in an "allow-list" you probably need to use a different (not chrome based!) browser or a version of such that uses chrome 68 or older as base (which would be really bad in terms of security!!) A great thing of course would be if you let the photobox people know about your struggleEDIT: Never mind just read/wait for Gwens answer below

Thank you #@Gwen-Dragon - one of those solutions has done the trick. And a special thank you for actually answering my question rather than suggesting I use another site or another browser.
@Pesala Thank you, but if I wanted to use Firefox I wouldn't be asking the question here. I'm aware that Photobox are working on a solution that doesn't require Flash (at the moment you can only use it to design an iPhone case) so this fix will hopefully be redundant before too long.
@zaibon Yes, I have let Photobox know about the issue.
