Desktop Shortcuts and Casting Tabs

I have been using Vivaldi since it was not popular. My previous laptop RAM was only 4 GB and Chrome was consuming lot of memory. I have installed Vivaldi as light weight Chrome browser. I was also asked to uninstalled the browser by many of friends describing that non popular browser are always danger to security. But, Vivaldi was friendly that I never uninstalled. Now, it is one of the popular web browser. I finding very difficult since decade regarding two features which I used very often. I request you to please add it in the next update.

1. Create shortcut : Allow user to shortcut the URL to desktop.
2. Cast button : Allow Chrome Cast devices user to cast a tab. I also tried using an extension to cast a tab but unfortunately Vivaldi does not support this feature.

I hope these features will be added at the end of this year.

@harshchoksi You can drag a tab to the desktop from the badge in the URL field to create a desktop shortcut. If the window is maximised, you will first need to restore it.

However, if you have two monitors, you can drag the URL to the other monitor.

I see "Cast" on the context menu when I right-click on a tab. Which Vivaldi version are you using and what is your Operating System?

These features are both available in the latest Vivaldi Stable version 2.1
