How to reset Vivaldi to its default settings?
-
The page at https://help.vivaldi.com/article/full-reset-of-vivaldi/, says how to fully reset Vivaldi But it's not clear. Under the title Backup Vivaldi data, it says to delete the file "First Run". Would, deleting the "First Run" file return Vivaldi to its default settings while retaining the browsing data already stored with Vivaldi.
But under "How to reset Vivaldi settings", it says in the 2nd point "Make a note of the directory listed under Profile Path:, minus Default.". In this point, what is meant by "make a note", does it mean to copy the folder, and the point further says "minus Default.". Does this mean copy or do whatever, except the "Default" folder? In the end at the point, no 6 it says "Delete the entire Vivaldi folder".If the way to preserve the stored data is to retain the "Default" folder, how would the data be retained if, as the 2nd point says, copy or do whatever except the "Default" folder? and deleting the entire Vivaldi folder because the "Default" folder is also within the directory that opens when the "Profile Path" is opened.

@varuna
Hi, note is a bit misleading, it meant "Remember" the path or write it down.
It is more simple, delete or move/rename the folder "Default".Cheers, mib
