Can't play Periscope videos in Twitter
-
I installed Ubuntu 18.04 yesterday. Everything is working except when there's a Periscope video in Twitter. I can view things at Periscope's website and everyhthing works at http://www.quirksmode.org/html5/tests/video.html. I don't know if this is a vivaldi problem or a Linux or codec one. Any ideas?
-
@ssmla Can you tells us when that "Periscope" can be found?

Here's a link to a tweet with a Periscope video that won't play: https://twitter.com/ScottAdamsSays/status/1054735604158582784
here's a direct link to the video on Periscope's site (it plays fine): https://www.pscp.tv/w/1nAJEQEPWYRJL
Going to either of the links above don't cause any new messages.

Both videos play for me - both in Stable and in Snapshot.
So I don't think it is a Vivaldi problem.Just check - vivaldi://gpu

It turns out the Privacy Badger extension from the EFF was the problem.

I see we had the same problem. LOL!
It was the Privacy Badger extension causing the problem. Change the slider so it doesn't block the pscp.tv domains.

Is the issue solved?
-
I don't have any other problems so I would say yes.
