Voice feature (Text to Voice)
-
I am really enjoying experiencing and navigating Vivaldi browser. As a very active chrome user and one that typically has 20 tabs open at a time, I find this browser refreshing and sleek. I do frequently use different chrome extensions, such as the ability to read the text back to me (text to voice). Is there an opportunity to use an extension or is there a feature forthcoming that can support text to voice?
Thanks,
Jake

@jakepress This feature request for Read Aloud Selected Text would be very useful for some users:
- Those with English as a second language
- Those learning English
- Those with impaired vision
Accessibility is very important to Vivaldi.

@pesala said in Voice feature (Text to Voice):
Read Aloud Selected Text
I agree! So, when will it be available?

@jakepress No ETA is ever given on feature requests or bug fixes. If the developers are working on it the thread will be tagged as IN PROGRESS. Those recently added are tagged as DONE.
Look for extensions. You might be in for a long wait. The FQ has only a few votes, and these all have a lot more at the last count:-

@jakepress Most of the extensions from the Chrome Web Store work in Vivaldi too. If you used some extensions in Chrome, you can probably use all of them in Vivaldi as well.

@pesala I solved it using an extension. All good here.
