Disable tab hibernation
-
Is it possible to disable the whole tab hibernation feature? I can't find any switches in the Settings. I know it's a Chromium thing, but I want to get rid of it.
I like to keep a few tabs open in the background all the time (messengers, social media sites), and it annoys me, that I have to refresh them from time to time, because they become hibernated, and I don't get the notifications.
I know I could use web panels, but I like it more this way.

try disabling in vivaldi://flags
chrome://flags/#automatic-tab-discarding
chrome://flags/#proactive-tab-freeze-and-discard -

Thanks, but I don't like to fiddle with flags, since they can come and go. It seems I have to make a feature request. -
I don't see what would be the problem with just trying them. If they don't do what you expect, you can always reset them to default.

They can be removed, even changed with the next updates, and I won't know what happened. -
I am bumping this because the flags I had enabled no longer seem to disable hibernation of background tabs since earlier this summer.
I would love to disable this "feature" permanently.

the flags have disappeared as expected, we can on blame Chromium devs at this point, they are probably enforcing the behaviour, no idea.
