What is it that determines the color on the active tab?
-
When I view some HTML pages in the T3 browser, the browser obviously finds a colored element in the page, and uses that color for the current active tab. With other HTML pages, the browser does not find a color and just keeps on using the color from a previous page. I like it when it finds a color to use, but I'm not so happy with the browser using this color with other pages. And I don't like the black background color either. But I would very much like to know exactly what determines the background color to use on the active tab. What kind of element is the browser looking for in the current page?

I saw your first post in your other topic, so welcome! (And I imagine the Mac drag and drop functionality you're looking for there will eventually be possible, but I haven't even checked whether it is available yet in Windows.)
Regarding the tab color, I think (but am not certain) Vivaldi is typically picking a dominant color in the Favicon for the site.
BTW, I get a white background color (not black) on all the non-focused tabs in 32-bit and 64 bit Vivaldi on 32-bit and 64 bit Win7. What Vivaldi version and OS are you getting a black background on?
Regarding tab appearance, you might find this [Suggestion] UI improvement. (reverse colouring behavior) thread interesting. It probably gives a good idea of what will eventually be possible with Vivaldi (and maybe is now with enough custom CSS tinkering… ...see the following):

Hi,
I get dark gray, not quite black, background on active tabs when looking e.g. at my home page http://folk.uio.no/jkleiser/.
Like you, I get a white background color on non-focused tabs.
It seems you are right re. the dominant color in the Favicon. Thanks!
I'm using Vivaldi 1.0.162.4 (Developer Build) on Mac OS X 10.9.5./Jon

You're welcome.
I see the same thing on your home page, and I guess that is Vivaldi's default "favicon" for sites that don't have their own favicon.
…So if you don't like that color, I guess you now know what to do next!
...That's right, convert to a favicon
(…maybe the top half of that would work nicely)
