No problems so far -
Can't update. I get the following error (one I've never seen before).
W: Failed to fetch http://repo.vivaldi.com/stable/deb/pool/main/vivaldi-stable_1.15.1147.52-1_i386.deb
Size mismatch -
how do you know when the next snapshot update is coming out. by the way i sent this before and have not heard anything------- in yahoo mail classic the screen is jittery, i can read it but it spikes on and off other browsers do not do it------- one more thing is there a chance you will add a bookmark button to the end of the search like other browsers have? thank you and i look forward to your reply
-
@jlhillhouse You don't know when the next snapshot is coming out, but they average around one per week or so.
-
@jlhillhouse There is a bookmark button at the right edge of the Address Bar. As for your Yahoo Mail issues that's one of the hazards of running snapshots. Snapshots are by nature unstable. Many software vendors call them betas, Vivaldi calls them snapshot. If you want a browser without issues try the Vivaldi Stable channel.
https://vivaldi.com/download/ For 64 bit version scroll down towards the bottom of the page.
-
Aren't there supposed to be download mirror links on the blog posts? Not super important but...what version number is this? Will the download be 32 bit or 64 bit? I feel like the update blog should be more transparent, as well as the download page.
-
@para-noid The download is whatever bit-width you are using in your Stable version already, if you use the "check for updates" button under menu/help. The version number mine updated to is 1.15.1147.52 (Stable channel) (64-bit).
-
@ayespy I'm actually aware of these things. I was concerned the general public or a newcomer might not know the details. I was more pointing this out for the team.
-
@para-noid: I pinged developers about the download mirror links. I do know that the update rollout didn't quite follow the usual sequence.
Edit: I am reminded that Stable releases on the blog do not have download links - just the link on the blog page to the download page. It's expected Stable users will use the built-in update routine in the browser.
However, with discussion, it's possible the download page might get some improvements to reduce the likelihood of user error.
-
Recommendation for historical sanity purposes: number the "minor update" blogs.
So, this is "Third Minor update to Vivaldi 1.15"
-
Yes! Thank you!
The VB-36171 was so annoying to deal with. -
@rseiler: ok

@gwen-dragon said in Minor update to Vivaldi 1.15:
@overlea Perhaps thes download server has much traffic. Download is very slow at this time about 120 KByte/s (
Try later with:He has a size mismatch. Like I do.
This has nothing to do with traffic, but with a wrong Packages file
