What are the syntax for Google Site Search?
-
Google search:
term site:vivaldi.net
will allow us to search term within vivaldi.net domain. So how do we setup a custom search engine with it? I have triedhttps://www.google.com/search?q=%s sites%3A%u
but it fail, because vivaldi doesn't seems to understand%u
as current tab's URL. Is this a bug or there are other syntax for Vivaldi? Thanks for support.

I don't know how to set it up to search the site of the current tab, but this is how you set up a custom search of vivaldi.net:
https://www.google.com/search?q=%s+site:vivaldi.net
Place the above in options under search, and assign a nickname, example "viv" . When you want to search vivaldi.net type "viv searchterm" in address bar, and vivaldi.net will be searched.

@blkhawk Thanks, but that's not what i'm looking for. I want to setup custom google search selected text within current domain/tab. In general
%u
or%U
is the syntax to do so, but Vivaldi seems to not decode it properly like%s

@gwen-dragon So there is no way to search current domain?
Can we use javascript then?
There is an extension to do this, but i would rather not using an extension for just simple task. -
