Windows lags after you clean browsing history
-
When I am cleaning browsing history, Windows starts deadly lagging. System.exe starts using disk 100% with 0.1-0.5 mb/s usage and it can last up to 5 minutes.
This is the only thing I hate in this browser, why it can happen?

I have no antivirus software in my PC, only have 360 total security always DISABLED(for some free soft in it), but be sure it is clean. Nothing can make computer lag like this, and make it lag at all. I have tested to delete history 5 times and always disk usage is 100% up to 5 minutes.
It is strange that you can give me as answer only wonder:)
P.S. I have firewall update_notifier.exe blocked, but can it be connected wit this? -

Where do you have storee the Vivaldi browser profile?
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\User Data\Default
I really want to help fix problem as i loved browser and it is her only minus, can provide any info. But only if you want to fix it from your side. -
I clear data for All Time but never notice a very long delay.
Try disabling the Browsing History Option or other items one-by-one to see which one causes problems.

@gwen-dragon Hey, browser cant get popular if you don't solve critical bugs!

@logiko
Hi, 3 month cache deleting need about one second on my system so it is not a bug. I have cleaned my Vivaldi cache, cookies, pictures, etc. a few minutes ago.
It is a combination of Vivaldi and your system and not reproducible on other systems, I fear.
May you can try refresh your profile for testing, sometimes profile gets corrupted and produce strange things.https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/10388/refreshing-or-cleaning-your-profile
Cheers, mib

@logiko Bugs cannot get fixed unless they can be reproduced.
Gwen and others are trying to help you diagnose the problem.
The developers always want to fix bugs, but even with a clear, easily reproducible recipe, they can take weeks or months to resolve satisfactorily.
This bug is not critical. It is a minor bug because it has a simple workaround — do not empty the cache.
