Security updates and IME fixes – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.16.1206.3
-
I suggest to replace magnifying glass glyph with some kind of open folder
-
@mossman I got a few notes with spaces but there haven't been problems with them.
Same with\n
Also (as I remember) there was some fix around that.
Disconnect / wipe / reset scenario is not working too - I tested it on another group of machines.
As a result all of the notes have been cloned (every single one) on both of machines.
And I directly copied whole profile between machines before setting up sync again.
But there have been no new clones after that. Now I just use some Python script to check for duplicates and I am deleting it from Vivaldi UI...
IMO there is some problem with reflecting changes across devices / identifying notes.Maybe my case is about number of devices being synced?...
Some of the clones have filled
subject
field despite I didn't do it... -
@rotfl that's what I was saying - the cloning is to do with the subject field you see as a title in the panel.
I don't think any of these should be blank!
-
I can't open the menu in this version. What was some hotkey to open it? I ca't even check for update now.

@gwen-dragon Win7, V 1.16.1206.3
Thanks for Ctrl+M.
I mean it's the problem with V button. It doesn't work. When double clicked - restores maximization. When set to menu bar, the menu button (in the corner) also doesn't react, when clicked twice - browser crashes. Alt key works but I don't use it so I disabled it. -
@gregor it's a regression bug, I've reported it. Re-enable the alt key for menu, or the menu isn't reacting to mouse because of that.
-
@gregor: There is currently a bug where disabling alt key disables the menu, you'll have to enable it again for the menu to work. Double clicking the menu doesnt crash the browser, its a feature to close the browser

I'm pretty sure you used to be able to Ctrl+Select multiple tabs, then Detach them all at once via the QC "Detach tab" or the Mouse gesture for said. But now, it only detaches one tab.
Is this change:
- Intentional
- Accidental
- Evidence of LonM having bad memory as this functionality never actually existed
-
@lonm Bad memory, I think. Move (selected) tabs to new window will work for several tabs, but Quick Command or Shortcut for Detach Tab only detaches one tab. The same in 1.15
-
@pesala Thanks for pointing this out. Investigating a bit more, I think I was mis-remembering the ability to Ctrl+Select and then Drag the tabs with the mouse.
