[1.15.1147.42] Getting weird white line on top bar of window
-
1.15.1147.42 (Stable channel) (64-bit)

If this is on the latest version of Windows, 1803, just minimise then maximise again. It seems to be a recurring bug.
-
@kartik-me Confirmed here too. As LonM said, it is a bug that has been around for a while, and is difficult to squash.
Pressing F11 twice will also fix the issue by maximising the window properly.
-
Another solution is to use the "Native Window" option in settings > appearance.
-
What is the status on this bug? This is truly quite an annoying issue for me. Everytime I move my browser to another screen I need to press f11 twice.
-
@jaap-jansen34 It's being fixed by the Chromium team. It's not a Vivaldi bug.
-
@jaap-jansen34 This is a Windows 10 issue I believe, it appears in other apps too.
I deal with it by dragging the window to the top twice, for me it's somehow faster / more convenient than finding
[F11]
on my keyboard... -
not only win10, win7 32bit in 2 pc and happens in both, randomly at every Vivaldi restart. double click on the tab bar, f11 twice or minimize/maximize, fixes it
-
@ian-coog That's interesting...
Did they introduce the same bug in two versions of Windows?
I know it started to occur on my PC since the latest Windows update, but there's not much randomness to it. Vivaldi always starts maximized and new windows are always maximized too. However, when I move them (to another screen for example), or when I resize the window, the white stripe appears.
Spotify always launched on the second screen (maximized). Now, since the update, it starts maximized, but it leaves a space (1px in height) on the bottom of the screen. When I drag its window to the top, it first appears with the white stripe, so I have to drag it once again, to have it fully maximized. I have the windows taskbar disabled on the second screen, I haven't checked if this has anything to do with the incorrect window size.
I haven't observed this bug on my Windows 10 tablet since it doesn't have enough memory to successfully update to the latest Windows 10 version...
-
to be precise, the problem on win7 is just the failed maximization, not the white line.
-
If it is a Windows 10 bug, why is Chrome Version 67.0.3396.99 (Official Build) (64-bit) not affected?

Thanks. Nice to know.
