Hello,

Since Vivaldi 1.15. the extension stopped working properly in the last phase during download instead of using suggested file name (suggested by the extension) it downloads with random string and instead of downloading epub file it downloads zip file.

It works correctly in latest version of Chrome beta and it worked in Vivaldi 1.14

Just in case you need a bandaid solution, ePubs are actually zip files with a different extensions, so renaming it into something.epub should still work fine. Also, for those involved, here's the issue opened on the extension repo.

Thanks I now about it but the problem is that the resulting files look ridiculous.

For example f7d696b7-a657-4a63-9341-133720e569d4.zip and it is inconvenient when creating more files and then you need find which one is which and rename it manually and as author mentioned in the issue he is not planning on separately supporting another browser considering that it works fine on Chrome.
