ExpressVPN extension

I was wondering if there's anything that can be done to get this extension to work with Vivaldi. It works just fine on Chrome, so I don't know if the problem is on the extension's end (it requires something that Chrome has and Vivaldi doesn't) or Vivaldi's end (some extension feature that could be implemented but isn't).
To clarify, the extension does not implement a VPN. A separate program needs to be installed on your computer to do that, and the extension is only a frontend for it. On Windows there is a frontend that works outside web browsers, but for Linux they only have the ones for Chrome, Firefox and command line.
