Local storage?
-
When CSE HTMLValidator loads a batch report into Vivaldi it give me the following alert:
"WARNING: This browser does not appear to support localStorage. The options below may not work properly. Try using a recent version of Chrome or Firefox. Note that Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge do not support localStorage for file:// documents."
Is this a feature of Chrome that is not included in Vivaldi, or have I disabled a setting that is required to enable it? -
@nickji Vivaldi contains a folder in the profile ("Default") space named Local Storage just as Chrome does - but the dirrectory path doesn't exactly follow Chrome convention (perhaps because it's not in the Google folder?) because it is in its own Vivaldi location. But I don't know exactly what CSE HTML Validator is trying to do.

@ayespy I'm not sure what it's trying to do either! Store something like the report files? I'll get onto CSE about it.

I just tried.
Using chrome, on a page served from file:// I was able to open the inspector and type localStorage, and it works.
On vivaldi I get this error:
Uncaught DOMException: Failed to read the 'sessionStorage' property from 'Window': Access is denied for this document. This may be a bug. I don't use localStorage so I can't be sure.
