What would be useful
-
If these have been addressed - or are available - would someone please tell me where they are?
-
With most browsers, it's very easy to find what version of the browser one is running. Where is this information for Vivaldi and why is it hidden?
-
Most browsers either permit automatic updating or have a specific Update button, screen, or section to update. We have a Notify of Update and a Download page, but no specific Update page. Yes, it would be a bit less confusing to have a specific Update command, button, or page. We've been conditioned by previous browsers to look for these things first - and to wonder if Download will download the most current version of anything. (Don't laugh. It has happened.)

@mormonyoyoman Vote for the Feature Request. Help, Check for Updates will tell you if a newer version is available, but note that Final and Snapshot channels are independent. If you're running the latest final 1.13 it won't tell you about Snapshot updates for 1.14 .
@pesala said in Feature requests for Vivaldi 1.14:
Show Current Version on Updates Tab
I know it is available in Help, About, but it would useful to show it here too.

menu help/about, where most programs have their version information. Sometimes last menu entry is "?" instead of Help but the meaning is the same.
-
@pesala Done. Thank you.
-
@ian-coog Oddly enough, my menu doesn't have a Help nor a question mark (?) option. Curiouser and curiouser.
-
@mormonyoyoman that's really weird, Vivaldi menus are
File, Edit, View, Tools, Window, Help -
@mormonyoyoman can you show us a screenshot of your Vivaldi menu area?
