Ctrl+Shift+C does not work in DevTools

Oh wow. I wanted to switch to Vivaldi so bad, but this one function annoyed me. I tried to set this behavior in the settings only to find this post... great productivity killer
I'll check it out next year, maybe this basic functionality (for web devs) will be fixed.

Why can't Ctrl+Shift+C/Cmd+Shift+C work the same way as it does in Chrome? I'm a front-end developer, and I use this feature every day. It's currently affecting my work efficiency.

Focus issue, Vivaldi has different window/panel system compared to Chrome.

As a webdev I would suggest Chromium to test front-end.

@DoctorG
I hope Vivaldi continues to improve and release updates. If there are any unreasonable aspects, fix them. While suggesting that users switch to Chromium is fine, it can make Vivaldi seem like an unsuccessful product.
I hope Vivaldi becomes more powerful and can be used for development in the future. -
@ZhanXiaoGe Yes, i report bugs to Vivaldi, but things which can not be done easy in Vivaldi with Developer Tools forces me to use for debugging Chromium from time to time.
I use Vivaldi as a daily browser, because i can configure it mostly like i want. I would never switch to Chromium. -
ZZalex108 moved this topic from Vivaldi for Windows on

Is this really such a low priority issue that it hasn't been fixed in 4 years?
I was so happy to have switched to Vivaldi, yes there are some differences between this and chrome but I was willing to adapt... but Ctrl+Shift+C not working as intended is really slowing down my work as a developer... and having to use two browser is not a solution....

yes, exactly what it is, else it would have been already addressed
