Where are advanced settings?
-
On the ” This site can’t be reached” page, (which i get often ), i click on details, then i get:
” Try disabling network prediction”
” Go to the Vivaldi menu > Settings > Show advanced settings… and deselect "Use a prediction service to load pages more quickly." If this does not resolve the issue, we recommend selecting this option again for improved performance. ”In the settings menu there is no ” Show advanced settings ” hence there is no "Use a prediction service to load pages more quickly."
doing a search did not find me a resolution. -
Hi, copy/paste
chrome://settings/
in to address field, there you can reach "Show advanced settings… and deselect "Use a prediction service to load pages more quickly."Cheers, mib

Those suggestions are for chrome users, you can see the chromium options page with
chrome://settings/?search=prediction
but I bet they won't affect Vivaldi. There will be a time also those internal pages and messages will be changed in Vivaldi. -
Click on the badge on the left side of the Address Bar, a panel will drop, at the bottom of it, click on Site Settings.

Thanks, found it and disabled it, see if it helps.
To the developers: maybe change the text on the ” This site can’t be reached” page to reflect the actual steps needed, as pointed out by @mib2berlin. -
