Vivaldi does not respect Xenforo composition boxes re. Navigation!

I know this is a a reported issue, but it is maddening, so I am reporting it again. Many times, when hitting the backspace key in a Xenforo composition window, Vivaldi will interpret it as Navigate Back, and exit the page. It happens periodically and is a royal pain. Thankfully, the site I am on (christianforums.com) retains the draft composition, so little is lost but time and concentration. But for goodness sake, please take care of this bug before adding any new features to V.

I'm on Linux Lite 3.6 (ubuntu 17.04), x64.

I tested, you use a quote to reply, that adds a BBCode-QUOTE and the if you want to delete with Backspace Vivaldi goes back.
But only with 1.12.955.38 Stable.
With 1.13.971.8 Snapshot i can not reproduce it anymore (is fixed!).

Not sure what you mean by "goes back". I assume you're confirming the problem.

But the rest of the quote baffles me, because it simply is not present in your post on my computer, yet it appeared when I Quoted it here. If true, I would welcome it.

I cant confirm your problem as i do not know what you are doing!
What is a composition box in xenforo?

With my test in a xenforo demo i can confirm that with Vivaldi 1.12:
Answer a post by marking text f.e. foo bar
hitting the Reply bubble
[quote]foo bar[/quote] is added in text area and teh caret blinks after the text
Hitting Backspace
Vivaldi goes back in History instead of deleting text

As is said: it is fixed in 1.13 Snapshot.

That is precisely what it is doing. In a text box, Backspace should move the cursor, not the page.

I'm glad for the fix. What I don't understand is why your text is not displaying here, even in Slimjet.

When I just clicked on that link, I saw the entire post. Before that, I saw only what my pic shows. Did you add the later part later? That might have created a cache issue here?

you can remove the Backspace for navigation:

On second thought, I now have done this. I very seldom use BS for navigation, preferring gestures or the toolbar. This should hold me over until the next release.
