Active Video on 2nd Monitor Lags but on Main Screens works fine
-
When I put a Youtube/Twitch Vid on my 2nd Screen it begins to lag/buffer, on main monitor its's fine.
If the Video is not the active Tab it works fine
Other Browser works fineIt's not the Internet and I have a beefy gaming pc
Example Vid https://youtu.be/xJsda3PtFuw
Edit: If I put a Youtube Vid on my 2nd and main it gets a really laggy experience

I cannot detect any difference on primary or secondary monitors. I opened the link in a new window on my primary monitor and dragged it to the secondary monitor.
Specs: AMD A10-6800K, 8 Gb on Win 10 64-bit • Snapshot 1.12.955.14 (64-bit)

On a Standalone Vivaldi I get the same
It's so strange I can watch 2 videos simultan on the main screen without any problem
if i put 2 vids on my 2nd screen its laggy
if I put 1 vid on each screen its a complete meltdownTested with new Standalone

I am also using a standalone installation.
My primary monitor is 1600 x 1200 portrait, my secondary monitor is 1280 x 1024. I don't have a fast graphics card and hardware acceleration is disabled.

@wet-rat Do your two monitors perhaps use two different cards?

hello wet-rat
is there a cabling adapter in this mix. ? might be that vivaldi is passing a higher quality signal than the adapter is capable. have you trialed different cable type? say of the vga, hdmi, dvi, dp? -
@gwen-dragon said in Active Video on 2nd Monitor Lags but on Main Screens works fine:
Perhaps you can disable "Use animation" at vivaldi://settings/appearance/ in Vivaldi
Thanks fixed it strange bug though
