Gosh! Vivaldi looks so much cleaner without those horrible white favicon backgrounds.

Why isn't this the default, honestly? THIS LOOKS SO CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL! I would love this to be the default in Vivaldi, or at least an option within the settings menu.
I'm pretty new to these forums, so I'm just going to show you guys these screenshots and I'd love to hear what you think. ^-^
Examples:
In Vivaldi's custom.css:
.tab-header .favicon { /**[Remove border around favicon(tab icon) and and shadow]**/ box-shadow: none !important; background-color: transparent !important; -webkit-filter: drop-shadow(1px 1px 1px rgba(0,0,0,0.7)); }

@snuggle I agree. I remember suggesting that CSS be the default look in Vivaldi almost 2 years ago, but I think I should try it again. There are just a few tiny things here and there I wish would get polished in the UI, and this is one of them. It does look much better.

I think part of the reasoning for this is that some sites (like twitch) have a totally flat colour icon, which is invisible without the background, and even a drop shadow wont help in all cases.
That being said, I agree. 99% of the time it looks a lot better.

I think without the white background, favicon with similar color to tab's background color would become invisible... (GitHub favicon)
The only solution would be implant a smart favicon background that would only show the white background if the favicon have similar color to the tab's background. But it would be very resources expensive when too many tab opened.

That's an issue in the bookmarks as well. I don't have favicons showing on the tabs so I don't mind. I did remove the background from the web panels icons and have come across quite a few icons that are barely visible

@dude99
I prefer not to have any "smart" solution. Just put a switch to the Settings, so everyone can decide. -
After the update is no longer working, can someone fix it?

@Mioni Please start a new topic of its own for your discussion, and explain what's wrong in enough detail that someone can understand.
You are posting an off-topic comment in a three-year-old thread that has nothing to do with your problem, whatever your problem is.
