Can't Copy Partial Address From Address Bar
-
If I am on a website and try to copy only a part of the address from the Address Bar, it still copies the full address even though I only highlight the part that I want to copy.
Is there a setting to prevent this happening?
Vivaldi Snapshot 1.12.941.3 (64-bit)

Known issue (and several existing threads on it). If you include the protocol (the http or https part) it always copies the full address. No idea on when they will have a fix, sorry.
Work-around: don't copy the protocol.

LOL what a weird things is this? It happens only on Windows or Linux too?
-
As a workaround: Select part of the address, drag it (up or down), then drop it on a tab, or on a free space on the tab bar, to paste and go. Or just drag it where ever you need it really.

I would also suggest to try this tool and see if it works. It's a very useful and customizable clipboard manager. Install it and copy the part of the address you wish, then open the tool window; you should find it inside.

Both. See earlier thread

@TbGbe thank you for you're link at early discussion about that bug but, to me it works as normal. No bug with Windows 7 (32bit) nor Linux Mint 18.2 (Cinnamon). I guess is because of CopyQ. It probably bypass the issue as well.
If you have time try it to reproduce. The software is well know and is clean. -
I couldn't see any working solution in that other thread.
Maybe I missed it. -
@Dypsis No solution (yet), but the bug report VB-23122 was updated.

Is there any ETA on when this will be fixed? It's the most painful aspect of Vivaldi and has been around almost since the beginning.
I would've thought being able to EASILY SHARE URLS would be, y'know, a primary function of a browser.

Still present in 1.13 Stable.
The problem does not occur in Snapshot 1.14.1042.3
So fix will be in next Stable release. -
Yes, it's fixed in 1.14.1047.3 Snapshot.
