Bug wizard

Hi there,
I am not sure whether this is the right way to report a bug but I hope the message still reaches the developers.
I am experiencing problems with the pdf plugin. Everytime I try to use the search function vivaldi would crash. I am using this version: 1.0.303.52 (Beta) (32-bit)

The Bug Wizard is the right place to report bugs. The address was given at the start of this thread. However, the bug has been reported already. Just focus the page before trying to search a PDF.
(VB-10412) Find in Page on PDF file crashes plugin

It works here, if you mean tab cycling like scrolling through the tabs with RMB+scroll, or scroll on tab bar. As to "which tab to fall back to when closing current tab," that's different. It always falls back to most recent other tab.
I'm using 1.0.321.3 (Beta) (32-bit) on Win 7 32-bit.
Cycling work fine with mouse over tab panel. It's not working with RMB+scroll. Also, those functions (tab cycling and which tab should be another displayed, after closing current tab) should be treated as one function and working same as chosen option in radio button. -
first, i'd like to thank you for this marvellous browser.
and i want to introduce my problem: i cannot use wunderlist with vivaldi. i mean, "winderlist.com" is non operational with the browser. so, sometimes, i am forced to use opera or firefox.
and one more thing: this is not a bug, i know, but is definitely annoying: i want to switch places of two or more tabs in a tab stack. when will this feature be enabled?
thanks.

Why are you so lazy? It's not like it's something that needs doing every five minutes.
Unstack the tabs, rearrange them, stack them again.
No one knows when particular issues will be addressed. The browser is developing very fast, but there's a thousand things to do, and only so many hours in the day. “When it's ready” is the only answer that you're likely to get in nearly every case. Developers almost never say when something will be fixed or added, because they do not even know themselves — it's a constantly moving target, and months of work can be postponed at the last minute if a critical bug is discovered.

Flash is getting more confusing than usual. There was a CERT Alert about Flash so I went to the get.adobe site to try to update Vivaldi-Flash. The get.adobe page claimed that Flash was installed but not enabled and gave a link to installing and enabling NP Flash in Chrome. I went ahead with the download/install and it claimed to have succeeded but Vivaldi was still 'stuck' with the old Flash version.
Since Vivaldi didn't work, I used Chrome and tried to update Flash at the get.adobe site and it worked – for Chrome. After the download/install completed the get.adobe site told me that Chrome uses an internal Flash version and would not offer the installer any more. Vivaldi was still 'stuck' with the old Flash version.
I tried again with Opera v33 to update at the get.adobe site and that worked for both ChrOpera and Vivaldi. :woohoo:
After sorting out the Flash issue, I Disabled the Flash plugin and restarted Vivladi, then went to YouTube to try out the Audio Mute feature but it doesn't work. It's tricky to even try to use it because when I put the mouse pointer on the little speaker icon in the Tab, the icon moves left and the CloseTab 'X' appears, leaving the mouse over the 'X' to close the Tab. Closing the Tab does mute the audio but so does unplugging the speakers.
I tried the Flag/Experiment option and it just doubled up the flag on the command line but Mute still didn't work. Here's an excerpt tidied up from the About/Version Tab:
Vivaldi 1.0.321.3 (Beta) (64-bit)
Flash (Disabled) (It's disabled in the plugin settings and the content setting is "Let me choose when to run plugin content"
"drive:\path\vivaldi.exe"
–always-authorize-plugins (Why?)
--enable-npapi (Flash is supposed to be disabled)
--disable-translate (?)
--ppapi-flash-path="drive:\path to flash player\pepflashplayer64_19_0_0_245.dll" (This is in the command line?)
--flag-switches-begin
--enable-tab-audio-muting (this Experiment doesn't work)
--flag-switches-end
--enable-tab-audio-muting (the Experiment doesn't work any better here, either)EDIT:
The Forum software has posted a new and confusing array of warnings at the top of the page after posting:Notice

Was surfing on facebook when suddenly the page crashed, i reload it but after i reload the page i can not scroll down the page, it remains stuck, everything freeze after the page is reloaded.
-
Yeah. That's what happens with crashed pages in Vivaldi. If you reload them, they don't respond. You have to open them in a different tab. Something I'm sure the devs will look at down the line.

Vivaldi keeps freezing while i'm on tumblr. Idk what keeps making this happen but it's the only website that keeps freezing my browser.
Browser also takes a good 4 extra seconds to load (as opposed to srware, chrome, firefox).. which is a shame cause it is pretty annoying. I reinstalled windows, thinking i had too much crap on my computer (thinking that was the problem) but unfortunately not
I know Vivaldi uses multiple processes in task manager, just like chrome, but it seems to always be more on the 100% side than anything. Mind you, i could leave it at a blank page, and for some reason my 'disk' is at 100%. My only extension is adblock plus, which shouldn't be the problem.
Honestly, I LOVE this browser. Found it like 3 days while looking for another one. I can't use this browser cause IT WILL freeze on me and it's really annoying. It's practically unusable. I know i'm just an insignificant person, whose comment you're probably not going to read, but please PLEASE! fix these little problems and i can bet this browser will be BIGGER than chrome, firefox. and opera! Sadly, i'll have to download srware again I'll check again in like 2 months.. hopefully all these problems are done.
Thank you for all your hard work take care everyone.

Windows 7 x64 Professional
Search using CTRL+F (do not cancel or escape)
then ALT+D to address bar
Find is stealing focus here- a few bugs with the Find textbox dialog. (sometimes it is handy having it stay present, maybe doing the same search on another page?)

ahah, it's like a real joke. ask for something and be scolded. yeah, really good. thanks.

I think you have to take Pesala with a pinch of salt. He is generally helpful, and I think genuinely means well. I just don't think he can always realize when something he says is going to strike a nerve. I know that might seem unlikely, but I've actually noticed it. He'll say something cutting and then be genuinely certain he was polite. I have mentioned it to him recently.

When you express annoyance, and punctuate your request with "When will this be ready," you come across as impatient. Even if it were a final product, you should understand that developments take time to implement. Not to mention, that this is a free product.
I don't feel the need to be polite to people who are impatient and pushy.
-
There, you and I differ. As a rule, if I can't find it in me to be polite to someone, I don't comment. One does not need a reason to be polite, and no one has to earn my good will in order for me to extend common courtesy. I'm no saint, but I see no point in adding ill feeling to the world, when I have a choice.
Rarely, I will get into debates - even extended ones. But I will endeavor to do so politely. It costs nothing, yet can sometimes earn a substantial return. If I find that I finally get to a point where I am reacting to the other person's communication with such a feeling of antipathy that I feel I feel compelled to resort to unkind and nonconstructive remarks, then I simply cease to communicate with them. Permanently. It helps reduce the ratio of noise to signal in the universe, at least to some degree.
Others are free to conduct themselves as they see fit.

I have an odd (but very annoying) issue. When I am typing an instant message in google inbox, hangouts, or mail, if I hit the backspace button the previous page for that tab will load even though the focus is on the text box. I tried fiddling around with the keyboard shortcut settings, but that didn't seem to help. I'm using the latest windows snapshot (64), and this happens on both my home (win 10) and work (win 7) computers.

Add as Search Engine - dialog text box doesn't get focused
Create a Search Engine entry, (right-clicking in a search engine text box)
(now you have to click into the box to start typing).=
When these dialogs flip down, they are not being focused. Sometimes handy, sometimes not. Thanks for fixing the 'find' dialog focus bugs

My Vivaldi 1.0.321.3 got stuck in the taskbar button (the window wouldn't show, although by the title of the taskbar button you could tell Vivaldi reacted on the addresses typed and the shortcuts used). I tried upgrading, but it didn't work. Having it stuck like that for a few days I tried to uninstall it, but the uninstaller failed. Had to force an uninstall.
Installed the latest snapshot and now it's OK. -
Password managers don't work well with this browser.
An example which I have: I use Sticky Password Manager and it's plugin from chrome web store. But it won't autofill passwords in Vivaldi unless I have Google Chrome running in the background. I've sent the same message to their development team as well. I hope you could figure out what's the issue from your side please.I am using Windows 10 Pro, latest available stable build

Unused tabs (backgrounded) become black and unusable (they cannot be refreshed).
Screenshot included.
This issue makes the browser totally unusable.

Hello,
[ol]
- Creating a shortcut to switch between tabs using CTRL-Page-* still recognize "Page-*" and scrolls while also switching the tab.
- Deactivating an option in the "actions" on the bottom task bar deletes the content of what was in the text boxes. Happent to me while I was writting suggestons :pinch: .
