Snapshot 1.0.344.24 - Closing in on beta 2
-
Today's update brings us a step closer to our second beta, with several crucial fixes for: site compatibility, thumbnail problems, black/unresponsive tabs, Mac keyboard shortcuts, Linux packaging, spatial navigation and tab muting.
-
Please re-introduce all keyboard shortcuts from Opera 12.x!
Thanks!
-
"add as search engine" still broken in most of the sites
-
Vivaldi still keeps disabling some of my extensions with every restart.
And please add the "Insert note" option.
-
Still no tab closing options. This makes me so sad
-
Still missing german translation for "Open link in background tab", "Speed Dial" and "Paste and go"
-
Hi Team !
I've been using Opera 12.17 for many years and I guess all your hard work. Thanks for it and for this new snapshot !
Below two requests I've (already) sent :
a) Please could you offer the same than Opera with the tab functionality "Close All" ? It is definitely more helpful than 1) "Close Other Tabs" then 2) "Close Tab" when I want to leave the browser and let it clean.
b) I confirm, like others guys, that Vivaldi does not follow the taskbar autohide/show convention, as Opera 12.17 does, if the taskbar is on the top of the screen. I have Windows 7 SP1 x64 and when it is set to autohide, the task bar does not appear whether Vivaldi is maximized or not.
Thanks again for all your work ! -
Flash now works… sort of. I still get an outdated PPAPI which, if enabled, blocks flash:

With the 18.x PPAPI disabled flash works, but it seems to have trouble recognising the mouse pointer; it seems to only do so in jittery intervals while it's moving. I remember this being an issue a long time ago in the earlier alpha days.
-
"most of the sites" why can't you give an example…
-
Not sure if it's reported, but opening things in popups don't work for websites.. they do work, but they open in new tabs.
-
Web panels show mobile version now, so its fixed, thx.
But still there is border, or padding problem, of maybe 50px if i must guess, i need to right click on web panel icon, then it shows site as it should be.
And please bring back middle mouse click for new tab.

Tried downloading Pepper Flash 20? http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?no_redirect
-
For me it's not disabling but not loading mini-window entirelly
For example Stylish http://i.imgur.com/qmJLFos.jpg
It happens sometimes also for other extensions like Ghostery. -
Any chance to look at my lists, Devs?

I had tried to update PPAPI on the previous snapshot but the update didn't take. I'll give it another go.
-
The same in polish. It's not Vivaldi but Chromium part of the browser and it can't be translated by Vivaldi translators. I don't know where to report that.
-
issues:
VB-9950 - translators can't translate installing dialogue ("Installing Vivaldi")VB-9951 - white space if I toggle panels (happens even with clean standalone install), though, would be nice to see some confirms as a"soprano" can't reproduce it…
VB-10348 - tabs do not get shrank instead I see a scroll bar (and can't change tabs using mouse wheel while hovering over them)
VB-10356 - whole UI freeze. A bit weird bug. was getting it every few minutes now (after a few updates) it's occurring like 1 a day… (almost though it was fixed..) - got a few confirmations on this, though, not hard to reproduce it
VB-11026 - tabs from "trash" do not get back into stacks
VB-11341 - scrolling by mouse wheel is interrupted on certain pages including facebook.com (because of some elements I guess)
- and a few vivaldi.com bugs… -
-
I had this way back around when Extensions were introduced. What I did to fix it was remove them and reinstall them. They have been fine since.
-
No dice, I feel the adobe page updates NPAPI and not PPAPI. In any case, PPAPI remains outdated.

The "hold right, drag down" mouse gesture is off sometimes: If I close a tab using Ctrl+W, and then use that mouse gesture in a non-link area to open a new tab where there was a link in the now closed tab, it should show me the speed dial. Instead, it consistently acts as if the old link areas still were there, and opens the link of the closed page in a new tab. Is that a known bug?
Anyway, thanks for the new snapshot!
