Snapshot 1.0.209.3 More visual improvements and better mouse support
-
Very nice to see things progress!
I think I've spotted a strange bug - if I'm on the Speed Dial and hit F8 (or focus the address field with the mouse) I can't go up and down with the arrow keys nor I can select anything with Enter. Is that known? If not, should I report it?
As for mouse wheel tab switching, it took me a while to notice it and figure it's actually that what was meant by "better mouse support". Very nice to have it, I suppose it will have customizable direction later on (because now I expect RMB + Wheel Down to go one tab right when using tab bar order). -
1. Closing a tab makes the next tab lose focus thus shortcuts specific to that tab (such as "Ctrl + W") stop working and you have to manually select the tab again…
2. Feature Request : Ability to find text in page using Regular Expressions... It'd prove so useful... but I know it can't be a priority... just sayin'

Paste, Paste as plain text and Paste and go (hit Enter where necessary) and, if you have at least two tabs - mouse wheel changes tabs instead of scrolling, otherwise it doesn't scroll page you're viewing. Right click on page to fix this. Both Ctrl +V and middle click work as expected. I don't know if it is a new issue because I was always using search field. Linux 64. Windows 7 works fine.
Btw. I am really, really glad to see ruario in Vivaldi team. His blog article convinced me to use Slackware long time ago. It was one of the best decisions I made in my life.
-
I thought the same. Ctrl+Shift+B should open a full window bookmark manager, it's way more practical. And please, don't forget to add a bookmark pop up window when we have address bar disabled… And/or the option on right click menu...
-
Yeah, F2/Ctrl+Q is very buggy here too (Win8x64). Sometimes it's OK, sometimes has a lag, sometimes you have to reinitiate Vivaldi in order to work…
-
The option "Show the Address Bar" doesn't work for me. No matter if I check or uncheck the tick box nothing happens. I always use Vivaldi without address bar and I update it this way. Besides that phrase isn't translated yet to my mother tongue. "Exibir barra de endereços" would be the expected one (PT-BR). Is that normal?
-
That invisible thing is happening to me too. The tabs sometimes are hidden behind the other but you only know when accidentally drag the first ones to the sides. Consequently, they get unstackable… So, you have to restart the browser.
Using W8.1 x64.

I'm having the same problem as number 1 on mac yosemite.
As for number two, I think its because the browser is being recognized as an older version of chrome/chromium. (though i wonder why opera isn't showing that…) -
Sometimes window of Vivaldi vanishes when I dragging texts (process still remains). It might be related to scroll.
IME on -> change focus to other apps -> back to Vivaldi: IME does not work (IME mode-changing also does not work). Change focus to other textbox -> back to the first textbox: will fix this problem.
Win 8.1 64bit + Vivaldi 64bit.

I am sure I experienced the same as you BUT it's working fine now. Weird.
-
Vivaldi keeps resetting the UI to 100% when initializing and/or opening the Settings window! Search bar doesn't work.
-
After pressing "Ctrl + Q" or "F2", you can't type in the pop-up…
whatever you type doesn't appear there... what's worse is that when you press "Esc" after trying to write, the pop-up doesn't disappear and it shows some scrambled Tab title in the input area...
after pressing "Esc" again, the Pop-up disappears....

second that!
could be done like in xnews (the newsreader) by
pressing left mouse button+wheel up/down = zoom in/out
this feels very handy -
Known issue. This will be fixed.

Personally I would like to see an option to set which end of the bookmark bar the items start at. In my case I would rather they start from the right because I sit off-set from the center of my secondary monitor and closer to it's right edge. It's easier to see the icons right in front of me. Maybe others would have different reasons to enjoy such a choice.

It is known issue.

Now not working again. A few restarts hasn't helped.
