I cant access Website Error: NET::ERR_CERT_WEAK_SIGNATURE_ALGORITHM
stefangaisb last edited by stefangaisb
I have the problem, that i can not open a Website.
The problem was since Vivaldi 1.7
The last update Vivaldi 1.7.735.27 (Offizieller Build) (32-Bit) - does not solve this problem.
The website works with Vivaldi 1.6.689.40 (Stable), opera12, Firefox and Internet Explorer
Can someone solve this problem?

What site is that?
ibiss.crse.com? (by zooming the image)
Its a Service access Site for Sony repair centers.

@dLeon It is a sony service site: ibiss --> internet based information system for service
@stefangaisb My error message is a bit different than yours:
So basically it is just a warning that this site uses low tech encryption (as you can see in your headline of this thread as well >>weak signature algorithm<<) and as you can see in the pic above in the last line you can still access that site - I guess this is possible also below the warning you get.
If you want to re-enable the site warnings or change settings for this site in general you can access those by clicking in the white on red broken lock to the left of the url
At least you don't have to worry about the bad encryption...I mean sony is a save haven they'll never gonna lose any userdata -ever- cough cough

I mean, I'm not sure what that website. You don't give us the link except from not too sharp picture.
From @stefangaisb picture.
Chromium/Chrome & all major browsers deprecated SHA-1 use, & opt to do strict check (until fully block?). Except Firefox stable which still bypass the strict check.
does it get any way to use this website with Vivaldi 1.7?
How can i bypass this message?
This site is definitly safe.
Does Vivaldi have settings to change the security-protocols? Opera 12 had many options to manage the SSL protocols.
or maybe in the vivaldi flags settings??
Thanks for help!

I have no link to bypassing the warning. dLEon have the same error-site as i .
zaibon have an other warning (see screenshot from him).
Attachment: current screenshot with 1.7.735.29 (Offizieller Build) (32-Bit)!

I can reproduce only if I add crse.com and subdomains in HSTS.
reload https://ibiss.crse.com page, advanced, now "Proceed to ibiss.crse.com (unsafe)" can be clicked.
They seriously need to replace their SHA-1 Certificate
Thank you for the instruction! Now i can access the login-site, but the site does not work properly. On the login-site, some Banners and Pictures are blocked. When i login, the Mainframe can not be loaded.
Sony uses old certificates. Sony webmasters are sleeping.
And i fear they mixed up insecure and secure connection, so the banner and images on the website may be broken.
Perhaps you see a little red icon (like a forbidden sign) at the left side of the address field. You may hit it and the the insecure content may be loaded.
But i don't know as i have no account at crse.com.
SHA1 signatures for certificates have been deprectated since February 2017 and Google as developer of Chrome/Chromium code and browser have annouced the deprecation since two years.

I'm having the exact same issue here, but with other domains as well. For example google.com and youtube.com is unreachable.
It happens only with Vivaldi on linux.
vivaldi-stable 1.7.735.46-1 amd64
But at the same time Chromium on linux is working fine (also firefox, midori).
Is there any solution to this?

I found this works -
sudo apt-get install libnss3-1d
then restart Vivaldi.
@stefangaisb is the issue solved now?
I do not get a SSL error with 1.9.818.49 WIn 10x64.
