Opening a link in a new window
-
Hi,
I enjoy the feel of Vivaldi but I'm looking for an easy way to open a link in a new window to organise two windows of content side by side. Alternatively is it possible to split a single window into two panes?Thx for the lovely browser!

Why a new Window and not just a new tab?
- Shift-click on a link to open it in a new tab
- Ctrl-click on a link to open it in a new background tab
- Middle-click on a link to open it in a new background tab
- Ctrl-click on the tabs to select multiple tabs, then tile them side by side using the context menu or icon on the Statusbar
-
If you still need the open link in new window select said option from the context menu that you'll get when you make a rightclick on a link itself (although I think tabtiling might be way more suitable)

@Pesala Thank you: the latter is exactly what I wanted!
Brilliant! -
Links can be opened in a new window with Ctrl+Shift+Click. This can be very useful when you have a program that will automatically place new windows side by side, e.g. a tiling window manager.
I have found that this is sometimes a little bit more ergonomic than using the Vivaldi side-by-side feature.
