I definitely have a few currently saved (including for login.vivaldi.net), but can't see them in settings anywhere.

If I go to vivaldi://settings/privacy/ , it says under Passwords "No saved passwords found."

If I go to chrome://settings/search#passwords%20and%20forms and click "Manage passwords" I don't see anything listed there under "Saved passwords". That list area just says "Your saved passwords will appear here. Learn more" (Although it does list in the "Never saved" area five sites I've told Vivaldi not to save passwords for.)

@Isildur: sounds like a broken Login Data file. You probably need to replace it.

If your platform is Win or Mac i can't help. If Linux, & if you use your OS' wallet / keyring, it could be that a transient sunspot / angry pixie / wind blowing from NNE at 47 kph etc caused a temporary failure of internal communication between wallet / keyring & programs, in this case V. Your exact symptoms have occurred to me several times, randomly, since i began using V in 2015 Q1. When it recurs, sometimes simply closing & reopening V "fixes" it, but i'd say the majority of these "rare" instances actually need me to logout/in again to my OS, or maybe even sometimes reboot. After those last two actions, it has never failed me yet, ie, next V start, my passwords are again visible.

For you however, if those actions don't help, or if you don't use wallet / keyring, or indeed Linux, then i'd share Ayespy's suggestion, so maybe delete that file & let V create a new one. Worst case scenario if even that fails... time for the fun & delight of creating a clean fresh new profile...

Thanks, renaming "Login Data" and "Login Data-journal" did fix it.

Two things Vivaldi could still improve, though:

            • There doesn't seem to be any representation in the regular Vivaldi Settings of sites for which one has clicked "Never save". To see those (or remove entries), one has to go to Chromium settings at chrome://settings/search#passwords%20and%20forms and click "Manage passwords".
            • I notice Vivaldi doesn't seem to expose anywhere the stored non-password form autofill data. This time I did some grep-ing for myself, and found it seems to be stored in the file named "Web Data". It would be nice if there was a list in Settings > Privacy so one could clear specific entries there without deleting the entire file, the way there already is a list there for passwords.

For point 2, you mean this?
              vivaldi://chrome/settings/autofill

              No, that just shows
              alt text

There's various non-password form data (e.g. my library card barcode when I log into search.proquest.com, my email addresses, various other form submission stuff that Vivaldi remembers) that do not seem to be shown anywhere in Vivaldi Settings or the "Chrome" settings.

Yeah, as I remarked earlier, I found that file using the grep command, but it would be nice to have an interface to delete or correct individual entries.

@Isildur Could you tell me where this Login Data file is? I can't find it anywhere on my Mac. I'm having the same issue you had.

@Tuexss It's a file (not a folder) in your "Profile" location as shown in the Help/About menu accessible through the "V" menu button or the horizontal menu, if that's what you're using.
