Hi,
I've assigned the following key bindings
<ctrl>+ <tab>–> Next tab
<ctrl>+<shift>+ <tab>–> Previous tabFurther, Tab cycling order is set –> Recently used
Additionally, I have either key combinations also assigned to my mouse wheel's left and right click. This is my system-wide mouse-based tab cycling setup, and is working flawlessly with any other application I can change the shortcuts.
However, with the current build mouse-triggered <ctrl>+<shift>+ <tab>just makes the last two active tabs toggling, whereas <ctrl>+ <tab>works as expected (I'd checked the mouse settings as changing the triggering mouse button doesn't fix it).
Only changing Tab cycling order –> Tab order makes mouse-triggered tabbing stepping through the tabs.someone</tab></ctrl></tab></shift></ctrl></tab></shift></ctrl></tab></ctrl>

Vivaldi's Bookmarks really has a lot of bugs. Filed a bunch of them via the bug tracker https://vivaldi.com/bugreport.html and for a bunch of other bugs as well.
I hope you guys could look them over.
Cheers!

General Impressions:
Like presumably most people on this forum, I'm a classic Opera fan that didn't like the "chromification" of nu-Opera, so Vivaldi is a product I'll keep track of.For an early build, I found the product quite robust. The interface is clean and functional, the page rendering is good, the browsing is fast, and advanced functionality without dubious add-ins seems to be on the works or already available. Overall, an enthusiastic thumbs-up.
That said, a few comments on things that could or should be improved.
Suggested Improvements:
- "Open link in new background tab" should be added to the right-click menu (to open tabs without loosing focus in the current one).
- An option to select the preferred default left click action on hyperlinks should be added to the "Settings" section (for instance, to open tabs in background by default).
- The option "File" - "New Incognito Window" should be added to directly start an incognito browsing session.
- The Flat UI model that is in vogue now is not my favorite. Some skeuomorphism helps with parsing. Still, for a flat UI, it looks good and is reasonably readable. That said, a compromise like flat color borders could be found.
- Keepass integration should be considered for password management.
Anomalies/Bugs:
- "Open Link in Incognito Window" doesn't seem to work.
- "Close Tab Stack" doesn't seem to work.
- I didn't manage to find a way to remove a single tab from a tab stack.
- In forum sites that require log-in, opening a new tab asks for log-in again, while opening a link in the same tab remembers credentials.

1. Vivaldi sets itself practically full-screen and disables Taskbar auto-hide (it cannot show itself). Please resolve this ASAP. I've seen this on my primary monitor and also on secondary monitor (using UltraMon to extend the taskbar to the secondary monitor). Edit: This behaviour is not showing all the time, so it seems like a bug in UI. After browser restarts, things are back to normal
2. Mouse gestures are almost non-existant.
- Rightclick + down doesn't work anywhere (should be New tab)
- Rightclick + right doesn't work if I get back to the speed dial (forward)
- In general, mouse gestures should be a bit more tolerant (lower thresholds for identifying a mouse gesture)
3. There is no private browsing which I need for business use when I'm logging into different Google Apps accounts and cannot mix with existing accounts I'm usually logged in (Google Drive doesn't work that way).
4. Browser speed is nice, pages are loading very quickly. However, I haven't found a way how to disable ads or how to set extensions/plugins. Not sure if this feature is enabled yet.
5. Need to run some more checks on memory usage, but if it's lower than Opera/Chrome, I'm all for it.
6. In any case, what I like THE MOST is the ability to set tabs at the bottom. I missed that in the new Opera, so Vivaldi has a chance to get one more loyal user. Still need to test it for my business use, but even if it doesn't work, I can still use Opera.

This snapshot looks really godd so far. I still have a small issue to commit. I have a 2 monitor setupo with vivaldi unning fullscreen on the right one. Whenever I open the menu (FIle, Edit …) the menu appears on the left screen and not on the current one.
haha yep same here

Speed-Dial Frontpage: Still loosing preview pictures, after a new start of Vivaldi. Only after first actions all previews are back again.
»V« Logo with the menue and then to »settings«: This box is now out of Vivaldi since the second alpha. It starts slower and doen’t look as it belongs to the browser, even with a different style. The first version (also attached to the »V«-Menue) fits much more.

Adblock works great for me…
Just go to the extension website - https://getadblock.comThe icon won't show on the Menu Bar but that was not a priority for me...
You can set the options buy entering "about:extensions" as a URL. -
I can't use tab when typing in input boxes, it switches to the next page element instead. So when I try to use tab in response to a thread it swaps the focus to the Preview button. I can shift-tab back but the cursor position resets to the beginning of the text, so I have to scroll all the way back.

- "Toggle Panel" button goes over web pages and images.
- No Right-click + Mouse down for new tab.
- No Right-click + Mouse wheel for tab changing.
- Bug between tabs that cookies only save themself for one tab.
- Slow rendering for pages.
- Cannot choose what to enable in Panel, for example if I want to disable Mail and Contacts I can't do that.
Fix these and you're getting one supporter more!

… even the size of the browser windows is missing after a new start of Windows. It will only be half of the display.

Han.
It's time to test the new snapshot.

Maybe not clear?
When I click uninstalled vivaldi to install a new version of vivaldi, I came across an option which say "Delete your browsing data" It actually deleted my bookmarks as well. I wasn't aware browsing data also meant bookmarks, I thought it meant cookies, history

There isn't any need to uninstall the old version.
If you have some problems can be useful to delete the data directory of the current user, but usually is not needed.
As happen with most of the multiplatform programs that uses a data folder and not the windows registry to store the personal/configuration data (opera, opium, firefox, vivaldi and so on…) .

Similar issue with the tabs except focusing on the "covered" tab still reveals no x to close it. I have to close the tab in front of it or move the covered tab to the far right to expose the X and then you get the + for the new tab in the middle. No prior installation.Windows 8.1.

Please, make it clearer on the forum threads the Vivaldi Browser for (platform) is the thread to go for feedback on the browser. A lot of users believe the Bugs - The Official Bug Thread and TOPIC: FEATURE REQUESTS are for the browser rather than the forum! Simply name it Feedback for Vivaldi Browser (platform) and the confusion should be cleared. Also, I wouldn't have known about the updates if a user hadn't posted a direct link to this thread, so you guys really should work on that.
Of course, I still believe the best option would be a blog like Opera's, where news are made clear, and don't require browsing for that one specific thread you want - it's the only thing Opera does better than Vivaldi now.
Thanks to that confusion, a lot of my feedback got buried under threads that are not related to the subject they are about, and so have done a lot of other users. Check those threads, move the posts to where they should be, and find a way to make those updates news more accessible to the userbase (again, I believe a blog rather than a forum is the best tool for this).
But regarding this update, I have no more problems staying logged in, even after opening a new tab, and Youtube runs 1080p@60fps without any problems! Nicely done!
Edit: I thought the issues with Youtube were gone, but they are not. A video rendered in 1080p is still running only at 360p on Vivaldi, even though other browsers run at max resolution.

@Gwen-Dragon:
@moderator
Please close this useless old version thread.
It misleads users for posting bugs and feedback of current weekly. Are you saying this isn't the place for talking about bugs and features either? If you read my post above you'll see I've had problems with where to post about that, and another user sent a link to this page, but is it not here either?

What I'd personally like to see is a separate, pinned thread for each Vivaldi version in existence, at least until a version is "officially" deprecated. Since nobody is currently being forced to update versions, that would involve a thread for each version to date. It might be useful to have those thread titles reflect each version along the lines of that existing thread having a good, clear title: "Feedback for Weekly build 1.x.xx.x". That way, a user could submit a comment into whichever version thread corresponds to the version he's using. If a version is considered by Vivaldi to be deprecated, then that version thread could be locked and unpinned, with a final post that the version is considered obsolete and should be updated.

Come on! What's the point of using an alpha version of something when two other (newer) alpha are already out ?
I can understand an user who use the version 1.x.y instead of a 2.0 beta 1, that could be a wise decision, but now we will see just major improvements (maybe with minor regressions) for a reasonable number of weeks.
Then we could talk about conservative or aggressive upgrade paths.
