Suddenly today on some web sites, Vivaldi is warning
"Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from
www.bankofamerica.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). NET::ERR_CERTIFICATE_TRANSPARENCY_REQUIRED"This happens for several bank and insurance web sites, but not all https sites; e.g. this forum, fastmail and google are ok. I have visited these sites regularly in the past, with no issues. If I ignore the warning, proceed to the site and check the certificate, the SHA-1 matches the one on grc.com/fingerprints, but the site shows broken https.
Thanks for any information about this.

Doesn't happen here on Win 10 or on Mint 18. (Snapshot 1.5.658.3)
Have you changed anything related to system security? Added any extensions to Vivaldi? Changed anything with your keyring?
Have you tried resetting your profile?
I don't think Vivaldi in and of itself is the problem.

Thanks, Ayespy.
Have you changed anything related to system security? No, I don't think so
Added any extensions to Vivaldi? No
Changed anything with your keyring? I don't know what that is
Have you tried resetting your profile? Same result running with new profileI don't think Vivaldi...is the problem. Seamonkey on same machine and Vivaldi on different machine show no warnings. I'll report back if I resolve the problem, but more likely it will just go away at some point and I won't know why Any further hints would be appreciated.

Seems a known Chrome problem with some certificates made by Symantec

It just happened to me, in Stable, earlier tonight, out of the blue. After a while, reloading made the page behave again. Odd.

Thanks for the information. In a 1.5 snapshot (Chrome 54) this warning does not occur. If I understand, this is not a real security problem; however getting in the habit of ignoring warnings might be! :o

This suddenly started happening with me just the other day (Mageia Linux 5). Does not show up with the corresponding installation of Chromium.

This is suddenly spreading to more of the sites I try to log in to... need to use Chromium now to access web mail accounts and others (including this one)!

https://knowledge.symantec.com/support/ssl-certificates-support/index?page=content&actp=CROSSLINK&id=SO29058you could be able to tell if it was this. wouldn't you be able to see symantec in the certificate details? i looked at amazons certificate and it was issued by symantec, re: @jamil_nyc. were the problem sites' certificates issued by symantec as well?
